IPS Management Consultants is seeking a dynamic and driven
Aboriginal Participation Coordinator
to join our high-performing team, working on a major infrastructure Project in Perth.
The Opportunity
As a First Nations owned and operated consultancy committed to closing the gap, this position will only be open to Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander applicants.
As the
Aboriginal Participation Coordinator
, you will play a crucial role in implementing the project Aboriginal Participation Plan (APP).
Your focus will be on maximising Aboriginal business and employment opportunities, ensuring cultural engagement, and supporting the success of Aboriginal stakeholders.
What We’re Looking For:
Aboriginal and or Torres Strait Islander identified role
Passion for Aboriginal engagement and economic development
Experience working with Aboriginal communities and businesses
Strong communication skills
Strong Microsoft software skills e.g. excel, word, outlook
Ability to work collaboratively within a large project team
Ability to work North of River Location
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the day-to-day implementation of the Aboriginal Participation Plan (APP)
Drive Aboriginal participation and employment targets for the Project
Coordinate cultural activities and Traditional Owner liaison
Provide culturally appropriate advice to leadership and project teams
Support Aboriginal workforce strategies and onboarding processes
Manage Aboriginal business capability mapping and procurement opportunities
Collaborate with project managers, consultants, and subcontractors
Desirable Attributes
Experience working First Nations peoples and communities.
Tertiary qualification in a relevant field (e.g. business, public policy, social sciences, law, or similar).
Familiarity with project management tools or methods.
A commitment to ethical practice, inclusion, and continuous learning.
