Killara Bennell is a proud Noongar woman who was born in Northam WA, before moving to Bunbury WA as a young child. Killara has gained extensive experience in Administrative duties, and currently holds a Certificate II in Business. Joining the IPS team as a Business Development & Communications Assistant, Killara is currently simultaneously completing a Certificate III in Business.
Killara currently works as part of the IPS team three days a week. When she is not at the office, Killara is working with her Aunty, Charmaine Councillor, in an Aboriginal language corporation called the Wardandi Miya-k Kaadijiny (Wardandi House of Learning). Wardandi Miya-k Kaadijiny specialises in cultural workshops for events like NAIDOC week, providing services to the community such Welcome to Countries and performances. In all that she does, Killara is driven by the desire to share her cultural knowledge with the wider community
